Vinsol® resin is a dark reddish-brown, high melting, thermoplastic natural resin extracted from pinewood stumps and refined through a special process. Vinsol resin is produced exclusively by Pinova, Inc. in Brunswick, Georgia, USA. Because of its physical and chemical properties and its aliphatic-hydrocarbon insolubility, Vinsol resin is used in a wide range of industrial applications, including asphalt emulsions, cement, fiberboard, paperboard, composition board, foundry molds, plastics, automotive sealants, and adhesives.
