Vinsol® Ester Gum

Vinsol® Ester Gum is a hard, ruby red to black thermoplastic resin. It is the glycerol ester of Vinsol resin, a dark, high softening point, aliphatic hydrocarbon insoluble resin derived from pinewood. Vinsol Ester Gum is especially useful in dark colored lacquers, to which it contributes properties similar to those provided by maleated resins. It is also useful in adhesives and other compositions, where its thermoplastic and unique solubility properties can be used to advantage, and where dark color is not detrimental.
